Fatigue of wire-ropes / Comments on the COMMA 2 and Brugg researches

Author illustrates some comments on the results of tests on the COMMA 2 and BRUGG ropes, carried out in the Laboratories of Delft, Zurich, Torino C.M. and Torino S.C. Author examines and compares:
a) the scattering of the results obtained on the eight ropes in the four Laboratories; b) the scattering of the results from the general average, illustrating the effect of the difference between the machines; c) the different behaviour of each rope in function of the axial load variation.
