WHERE ELSE IS RESEARCH ON ROPES PUBLISHED? − A LITERATURE SURVEY AND ANALYSIS

Summary

This article reports the literature survey and analyses of rope research and development papers published in journals and conference proceedings. The purpose is to find out where else rope R&D papers are published besides OIPEEC Conference Proceedings and the Journal. The distributions of papers across the key topics of rope such as raw material, design, manufacture, test, characterisation and application, as well as the two major types of ropes (wire rope and fibre rope) are analysed and summarised. In addition to databases in English, a Chinese database is also searched to explore the scenarios of rope R&D publications in Chinese.
