Within the sections where steel ropes interact with other parts and units of mechanisms, a re-distribution of axial forces in spiral elements of the rope occurs that is the main reason to reduce rope construction strength and endurance. For instance, whenever the rope runs on a pulley, the forces in the elements are distributed according to the harmonic law, Glushko (1967):
