New Rope - Bending - Fatigue - Machines Constructed in the traditional way

Since its foundation by Richard Woernle in 1927, the Institut für Fördertechnik at the University of Stuttgart has carried out bending-fatigue-tests on wire ropes. Three rope- bending machines /1/ which were built at that time are still being used today. After the Second World War, two further rope-bending fatigue machines were built according to the directions of H. Müller and put into use. The technical specifications of this rope-bending machines can be found in Table 1.
