No Statute of Limitations for the Crime of Rope Abuse

The hauIage rope of a very frequently used jig back worked for 5 years without any complaint. Rope data: Ø 26 mm, 6 x (1+9+9) Seale, Lang's lay, compacted. Subsequently, in a short time interval, 15 wire breaks occurred in a section approx. 400 mm long. The other parts of the rope were, as before, in perfect condition.
