REVIEW OF WIRE ROPE PUBLICATIONS

ln this second wire rope publication review, we have attempted to cover all relevant publications for the first six months of the year. All OIPEEC members will be familiar with the problems of locating technical and scientific papers on wire ropes, which can be scattered over an amazing range of journals. It is partly because of this problem that the OIPEEC Management Board wanted to institute the review service for members, but the problem remains that it is very difficult to locate all the papers we are interested in, especially when the reference data base systems seem to be so far behind. For this reason we have had to include some papers that we missed last time, and expect to do the same next time. Once again our thanks to those members who have helped by sending information.
