Steel ropes fatigue by reliability formulation

ln the authors's previous paper (2) a method of results analysis of steel ropes fatigue tests at block load has been presented. This method is helpful in doing further analysis and calculations using reliability models [4) i.e. calculations of: failure-free work probability, factor of safety, permissible stresses, failure probability etc. In this paper futher analysis of fatigue tests results performed by the Central Mining Institute within the "BLP2" program of the O.I.P.E.E.C. International Organization is presented by reliability formulation as well.
