Torsion problems caused by wire rope during mooring installation operations in deep water

  • €0,00

A case study involving deployment of mooring components in deep water provides the opportunity to show how rope torque/tension characteristics can create severe problems during installation. • The different torque/tension characteristics of chain and rope are discussed. • The sensitivity of different components to twist is discussed. The interactions between chain and a work wire are illustrated through analysis of a particular operation .
