Wires / Report concerning knot tests on wires for steel wire ropes

The report aims to give a reconnaissance of the possibilities with regard to attempt an O.I.P.E.E.C. research to the role of the knottest as a part of a standard of quality for wires taken from the coils and for roped wires. Such an attempt is derived from the assumption that an useful contribution can be given towards steelwirerope-research . These tests might lead to a characterisation of certain properties of materials of the ropes.
