CORRELATION between ENDURANCE PREDICTION and SERVICE LIFE of RUNNING ROPES

ABSTRACT

For all lifting appliances the determination of the effective rope force will be the greatest problem. It's helpful to adopt a typical load spectrum. The variance of correlation between calculated life endurance and actual service life at ropes of the same installation is smaller than at ropes of different installations.
