Mechanical interaction between wire ropes and sheaves
A new theoretical approach of wire rope and sheave interaction is presented in this paper. Apparently, until now, none of the previous approaches permit studying the evolution of the interaction between rope and friction drive over the time domain. This model, which is mainly based on a similar assumption to that of Eytelwein, also deals with sheave turning.
