Partially slipped cast cones of track ropes

During a routine inspection, three of four cast cones on an aerial tramway were found to have drawn through the neck of their sockets to varying degrees. This paper discusses the inspection and analysis of these cones and makes recommendations in order to avoid similar problems in the future.
