The actual longitudinal forces in a bearing hoisting rope at the place of its fastening in the rope suspension gear
During each normal hoisting cycle of a winding plant the hoisting ropes are subjected to variable static and dynamic loads. Variations of those loads result from the different phases of the work cycle com-prising of: - charging and discharging of hoisting tubs, lifting or lowering of full or empty hoisting tub respectively, changing length of hoisting and balance ropes and starting, stable travel and retardation of the hoist. Determination of the changing rope loads by theoretical calculations may be conducted applying many much simplified assumptions only whereas other external influences of incidental character cannot be taken into account.
