Introduction

During each normal hoisting cycle of a winding plant the hoisting ropes are subjected to variable static and dynamic loads. Variations of those loads result from the different phases of the work cycle comprising of: - charging and discharging; of hoisting tubs, lifting; or lowering of full or empty hoisting tub respectively, changing length of hoisting and balance ropes and starting, stable travel and. retardation of the hoist.
