W.P.4 Theoretical Aspects of Wire Rope Endurance

The general assembly at Bochum decided for a new working group, which will aim at intensifying and stimulating the study on theoretical aspects of steel wire rope endurance. Although the name "theoretical aspects" may indicate a too wide scope, it is still used. The space in this name offers the opportunity to go into current theoretical subjects. At the Delft M.B. meeting the following activities of the new group were
proposed , in order to take advantage of the flexibily without the danger of ineffectiveness by the wide scope:
